A method, device and system for ping-pong handover control are disclosed by embodiments of the present invention. The method for ping-pong handover control includes the following steps: monitoring whether a User Equipment (UE) is under the occurrence of a ping-pong handover in an area covered by a femtocell (S101), if so, then executing the ping-pong handover control (S102). The ping-pong handover control includes: adjusting the cell handover parameters of the femtocell, and/or refusing the UE with the ping-pong handover control to camp on the femtocell. According to the location update frequency of a UE, the technical solution provided by the embodiments of the present invention determines whether the UE is in the ping-pong handover state, and for the UE in the ping-pong handover state, it reduces or avoids the ping-pong handover occurrence of the UE in the femtocell covered area, further by the way of modifying the location update parameters or refusing the UE to camp on the femtocell. Thus meaningless procedure and signaling interaction caused by the ping-pong handover are decreased, and power consumption of the UE is lowered. |
