The device (10) has a pipeline (16) which is partially insertable in the existing house service connection (14). A cover unit (20) is provided which is guided on the pipeline and a fitting (24) is arranged at an inner side end (22) of the pipeline. The cover unit is guided in a pivoting manner on the pipeline by a ball joint (26). The pipeline is formed of metal pipe or plastic pipe.
