DRUM TYPE WASHING MACHINE

A drum type washing machine comprises: a rotating drum having a first opening on the front surface side thereof and formed in a closed-bottomed cylindrical shape; a water tub having a second opening which corresponds to the first opening and having the rotating drum mounted therein in such a manner that the direction of the rotation axis thereof is horizontal or tilted downward from the front surface side thereof toward the rear surface side thereof which is the bottom of the rotating drum; a motor for rotating and controlling the rotating drum; and a water circulation path for circulating wash water, which is located within the water tub, by causing the wash water to flow out to a circulation path, which is connected to the water tub, and then to flow into the rotating drum by means of a circulation pump. The water circulation path comprises a water conduit which allows the wash water to flow therethrough, a discharge opening which is provided to the water conduit and discharges the wash water, and a conduit which communicates with the discharge opening and discharges into the rotating drum the wash water discharged from the discharge opening. The water conduit is configured by a front end wall of the water tub and a cover which is mounted to the front end wall of the water tub, and the discharge opening is formed between the cover and the front end wall of the water tub.
