PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing gray ink for inkjet that record an image excellent in fastness.

SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the gray ink for inkjet includes a step of filling an ink cartridge for housing a first ink containing at least one color material selected from a specific compound group with a second ink containing a color material different from the above color material.
