<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable printer in which the number of part items is reduced and dust-proof performance is improved. <P>SOLUTION: The portable printer (1) includes a body (10), an opening/closing body (50) for opening and closing the body (10), a lock mechanism (60) for performing locking so that the opening/closing body (50) may be in a closed state, and an optical sensor (80) for detecting whether the opening/closing body (50) is locked by the lock mechanism (60).
