<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electronic indicating instrument capable of indicating the maximum current value at steady-state loading excluding excessive current, even when the excessive current such as inrush current or startup current is flowing. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic indicating instrument has a current value calculator 3 to calculate the current effective value or average value from the output of a current transformer for detecting the current at a signal path being measured, a peak current value detector 4 to detect the peak current value when the current value output from the current value calculator is changed from increasing state to decreasing state, a maximum current value storage 7 to update and store the peak current value as the maximum current value when the peak current value detected by the peak current value detector is greater than the maximum current value stored currently, a mask condition setter 6 to set up a condition for inhibiting (masking) operation of the maximum current value storage, and a startup current determiner 5 to inhibit operation of the maximum current value memory when the output of the peak current value detector exceeds the condition set up by the mask condition setter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
