PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent miscalculation even when coins and foreign matters are left on a conveying path due to power interruption during storage of coins, a human error in inspection, and coin jams or the like. SOLUTION: When power is turned on, a conveying belt 12 is driven only for a predetermined time to reject the coin C on the conveying belt 12 through a reject hole 19 while the reject hole 19 is opened.
