PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric vacuum cleaner for obtaining sufficient deodorizing effects by a small amount of ozone and reducing unpleasant feeling of a user due to an odor of the ozone itself. SOLUTION: The electric vacuum cleaner 100 includes a suction power part 5, a ventilation passage 32 for conducting air suctioned from a suction port connecting part 2 by the suction power part 5, a dust collecting part 4 disposed in the ventilation passage 32 for collecting dust suctioned with air, an ozone generating part 6 for generating the ozone, and an odor adsorption part 17 for adsorbing odor components generated from the dust accumulated in the dust collecting part 4 and odor components of the ozone. The ventilation passage 32 is configured by placing the suction port connecting part 2 and the dust collecting part 4 in this order from the windward side to the leeward side. An ozone air flow port 8 for the ozone is formed on the ventilation passage 32 in a manner that an opening surface has a prescribed angle relative to the ground to turn in a direction of the dust collecting part 4.
