PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate cleaning in a water treatment apparatus used for equipment like a humidifier using water. SOLUTION: The water treatment apparatus 11 includes a treatment tank 13 storing treating object water 12, a pair or more of scale deposition electrodes 14 and reference electrodes 15 immersed in the treating object water 12 in the treatment tank 13, and the water treatment apparatus 11 has configuration wherein the scale deposition electrodes 14 are cleaned when attached or detached to/from the treatment tank 13, thereby obtaining the electrode cleaning method for the water treatment apparatus easily removing scale attached to the surface of the scale deposition electrodes 14, the water treatment apparatus having that effect and the humidifier using the water treatment apparatus.
