The method involves subjecting composite products (P) to a crushing phase using fragmenting components i.e. cutter blades (15, 25, 35), where the products include metallic reinforcement elements and a matrix. The components are cooperated with grids (16, 26, 36) presenting openings (16', 26', 36'). The products are again subjected to an additional pushed crushing phase in which fragmenting components i.e. cutter blades (45), cooperate with a push crushing component (46) to prevent the substantial passage of the products. Refrigerant fluid i.e. liquid nitrogen, is circulated via the openings. An independent claim is also included for a facility for separating a composite product.
