<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser beam welding apparatus and a laser beam welding method capable of improving the reliability of feeding a filler wire without stopping the feed of the filler wire when the two vertically superposed metal plates are subjected to the laser beam welding while feeding the filler wire. <P>SOLUTION: When applying laser beam LB to a surface of an upper metal plate out of two vertically superposed metal plates W1, W2, forming a molten pool by the laser beam, feeding a filler wire to the molten pool, and executing the laser beam welding of the two metal plates while feeding the filler wire, a first state in which a first filler wire X1 is fed to the molten pool from the back side of the laser beam in the welding advancing direction, and a second state in which a second filler wire X2 is fed to the molten pool from the back side in the welding advancing direction from the first filler wire to be fed to the molten pool in the first state are selectively changed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
