PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photocatalyst ceramics having the action of adsorbing malodorous and harmful substances on the surface of ceramic products consisting of porous calcium phosphate blended with a photocatalyst or various products adhered with a ceramics containing a photocatalyst and decomposing and removing the malodorous and harmful substances efficiently by a basic material e.g. titanium dioxide. SOLUTION: A photocatalyst ceramics is produced by treating the surface of a basic material having a photocatalytic function with a treating solution comprising phosphoric acid, calcium and a fibrous protein to coat the photocatalyst with porous calcium phosphate and the fibrous protein, blending the resultant photocatalyst with an appropriate ceramic material and baking the ceramic material into a desired shape.
