摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas detector capable of improving detection sensitivity of a gas to be detected by minimizing an error potential difference caused by the difference in temperature rise characteristics between a sensing element and a compensation element of an adsorption combustion gas sensor. SOLUTION: The gas detector 1 has a bridge circuit 2 including the adsorption combustion gas sensor composed of both of the sensing element and the compensation element. The bridge circuit 2 is provided with a correction circuit 50 for correcting a potential difference caused by a pair of midpoints. The gas detector 1 is provided with a correction circuit control means 61a for controlling a correction circuit 50 in such a way as to eliminate an error potential difference caused by the pair of midpoints due to the difference in temperature rise characteristics between the sensing element and the compensation element on the basis of preset correction information during the transition periods of temperature rises of the sensing element and the compensation element after a voltage supply source 5 has supplied a high-temperature drive voltage for the bridge circuit 2.
