<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal recording material improved in blemishing and breaking during processing and in the consequent peeling of a protective layer while maintaining the storage stability of aqueous resin, that is, maintaining durability (plasticizer resistance, water resistance and heat resistance) of a recording layer of the thermal recording material and recorded images. <P>SOLUTION: This resin for a thermal recording paper protective layer includes aqueous resin including a hydrophilic copolymer (A) containing (meth)acrylamid (a1) and a vinyl monomer (a2) containing a carboxyl group, and a hydrophobic copolymer (C) containing polyvinyl alcohol (B) and a vinyl monomer (c1) containing a cyano group. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
