<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system capable of preventing erroneous malfunctions of an electric circuit caused by temperature rise and stably operating. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system has a water storage container 1 for storing water, and a hydrogen generation material storage container 2 for storing a hydrogen generation material which generates hydrogen according to an exothermic reaction with water, a hydrogen generator for generating hydrogen by reacting the hydrogen generation material and water, a fuel cell 4 for generating power by using hydrogen generated from the hydrogen generator, and an electric circuit 5.
