<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for measuring a pulsation by light waves of two wavelengths. <P>SOLUTION: The light wave of the first wavelength (λ<SB>1</SB>) reacting with the pulsation and the movement of a human being, and the second wavelength (λ<SB>2</SB>) (different from the first wavelength) reacting with the movement of the human being are generated to be emitted toward a direction of a skin of the human being. A photodetector (7) detects a reflected light waves, to provide an electrical measurement signal. At least one non-coherent power spectrum is calculated based on a spectral coherence functionγwith the dependence between the measurement signal about the first wavelength and the measurement signal about the second wavelength taken into consideration, by formula: S<SB>NC</SB>=(1-γ<SP>2</SP>) (S<SB>AA</SB><upper bar>), where S<SB>AA</SB><upper bar> represents an average Fourier power spectrum of the measurement signals about the first wavelength of the detected light wave, and whereγ<SP>2</SP>is between 0 and 1, and a heartbeat is found based on the non-coherent power spectrum. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
