PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device for displaying the relation between a map and a photographed image in an understandable manner. SOLUTION: A navigation device includes a map database 5 to retain map data, a location/orientation measurement part 4 to measure current location/orientation, a guide display generation part 13 that obtains map data around the measured location from the map database to generate a map guide map as a guide map using a map from the map data, a camera 7 for photographing the front area, an image acquisition part 8 to obtain the front area image photographed by the camera, an image synthesis processing part 14 to generate a photographed guide map as a guide map using a photographed image from the obtained images, a corresponding location point determination part 16 to determine a location point on the photographed guide map corresponding to the predetermined location point on the map guide map, a corresponding display generation part 17 to generate a graphic form connecting two determined location points, a display determination part 15 for determining to display the map guide map, the photographed guide map, and the graphic form connecting two location points within a single screen, and a display part 10 to create a display according to determination made by the display determination part.
