PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for peeling off fruit skin brought to be hardly contacting to dangerous parts in loading fruits onto a loading unit by an operator, in addition, brought to be smaller. SOLUTION: The device 1 for peeling off the fruit skin includes placing units 6A, 6B, a holding unit 84 rotating while holding a fruit, a blade body 3 pressed to the rotating fruit held by the holding unit 84 and peeling off the fruit skin, and a moving mechanism 2 for moving the placing units 6A, 6B to a placing position where the fruit is placed and to a delivery position where the fruit placed on the placing units 6A, 6B is delivered to the holding unit 84. The placing position is disposed on the front side closer to a side where the operator is standing relative to the holding unit 84 and the blade body 3. In the holding unit 84, a shaft unit 88 inclines forward from top to bottom, as well as holds the fruit on the lower side relative to the holding unit 84 for holding the fruit. The moving mechanism 2 is constructed so as to move the fruit placed on the placing unit to the delivery position along the rotational axis of the fruit that is the axis of a shaft portion 88.
