PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display device favorably discharging heat in the interior when being hung on a wall or set near a wall. SOLUTION: This plasma display device 1 is provided with: a chassis supporting a PDP (plasma display panel) on its front surface; a plurality of circuit boards 19 located within a specific region of the back surface of the chassis; and a back cover 7 having an edge portion 71 covering the outside of the specific region in the back surface of the chassis and a projecting portion 72 containing the plurality of the circuit boards 19. Peripheral walls 74 of the projecting portion 72 are provided with a plurality of air inlets 11 and a plurality of air outlets 10, and a fan is arranged inside a space surrounded by the projecting portion 72.
