PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carriage that can prevent the deformation of a sub-carriage while surely holding the sub-carriage to a main carriage in constitution of holding the sub-carriage to the main carriage utilizing the urging force of an urging means. SOLUTION: A base body of the carriage 10 includes the main carriage 13, an intermediate member 22 and the sub-carriage 27. The intermediate member 22 is interposed between the main carriage 13 and the sub-carriage 27 and fixed to the sub-carriage 27 side. The intermediate member 22 is urged toward the main carriage 13 by the urging force of a tension spring 24 to thereby hold the sub-carriage 27 to the main carriage 13. The intermediate member 22 is higher in rigidity than the sub-carriage 27. Consequently, even if the urging force of the tension spring 24 is set large, the deformation of the sub-carriage 27 can be prevented. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
