PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water shut-off treatment structure of the connecting portion of a waterproof insulated wire that readily and surely shuts off water, even for polyethylene or crosslinked polyethylene which is a material difficult to adhere as an outer-layer material of an insulating coating of the waterproof insulated wire. SOLUTION: A connection part A-1 of a waterproof insulated wire 20 and a power supply cable 10 is subjected to water shut-off treatment in a liquid-seal motor 200. An outer-layer material of an insulating coating of the waterproof insulated wire 20 is made of polyethylene or cross-linked polyethylene; non-crosslinked EPR or a nonvulcanized or nonvulcanized EPDM 32 is wound directly on the surface of the outer-layer material of the insulating coating; further, a vulcanizing adhesive 35 is coated on its outer-peripheral surface. Nonvulcanized chloroprene rubber 29 is wound on the outer-peripheral surface; and by having it subjected to hot cure so as to execute integral molding, the outer-layer material of the insulating coating of the waterproof insulated wire 20 is fused with the non-crosslinked EPR or the nonvulcanized or nonvulcanized EPDM 32, and at the same time, the non-crosslinked EPR or the nonvulcanized or nonvulcanized EPDM 32 is bonded with the chloroprene rubber 29, thereby shutting off water.
