<p>The method for the treatment of ballast water on shipboard, comprises separating macro-organisms with a size of 50 mu m through a mechanical filtration, disinfecting the ballast water with acrolein and neutralizing the remaining residual quantity of the acrolein by a water-insoluble polymers, which carries amino groups as filter substance, where the filter substance is held back in a water-permeable filter element, which is arranged above or in the ballast water discharge pipe. An independent claim is included for a biocide-filter element.</p> |
