PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing an optical member is provided to implement wanted brightness by accurately forming a wanted pattern layer of an optical member in consideration of a height change rate and a length change rate of a pattern layer in a hardening process. CONSTITUTION: A height change rate and a length change rate of a pattern layer are previously measured in a hardening process. A mold(5) with a pattern with the determined height and length is made. A pattern material layer(3) is spread on a substrate(1). A pattern layer(3a) is formed on the substrate by contacting the pattern material layer with the pattern of the mold. The pattern layer is hardened.
