<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DC power supply apparatus unconventionally reducing power loss by controlling the number of rectifier units to operate the rectifier units at high power conversion efficiency when the DC power supply apparatus having a plurality of rectifier units for converting AC power into DC power operates at inefficient load rate. <P>SOLUTION: This DC power supply apparatus includes: a plurality of rectifier units connected in parallel to output terminals for outputting AC power; wiring breakers provided between each rectifier unit and the AC power supply; a current sensor for measuring the current value of the DC output power and outputting the measured current value; and an available unit number controller for controlling the number of available rectifier units at which the loss generated in a power conversion process from AC to DC in each rectifier unit becomes minimum at the current value and controls the wiring breakers to output the DC power from the available number of rectifier units. The available unit number control unit controls the opening and closing of the wiring breakers connected to the rectifier units so as to correspond to the number of available units. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
