<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the convenience of an image processor, by allowing user authentication to be performed by another authentication method, even when there are failures in user authentication a predetermined number of times, by a single authentication method. <P>SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus is configured, such that either first authentication information or second authentication information is input as authentication information for performing user authentication for the purpose of performing user authentication, based on the input authentication information; and when the user authentication is successful, transition is made to go into a state of log-in by the authentication user, and then to a state in which at least one function related to image processing can be executed. When user authentication based on the first authentication information input by the same user fails a predetermined number of times, user authentication is not performed based on the first authentication information input by the user, after that; and when the second authentication information is input by the user, user authentication is performed, based on the second authentication information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
