PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing mechanism of an over bed table, for putting a caster of the over bed table in a locked state or release state with a single operation, allowing easy fixing and releasing of the over bed table. SOLUTION: In the fixing mechanism of the over bed table in which the over bed table includes a freely ascending and descending table 11, a caster operating part 2 is provided in the table 11 for operating all double-wheel casters 4 of the over bed table 1 from one place so as to be in the locked state or lock release state, a locking or lock releasing operation from the caster operating part 2 to each caster is performed by a coaxial operation transmitting wire, and a stagnation of a loosened part of a branching wire 33 being the operation transmitting wire 30, accompanying an ascent or descent of the table 11, is absorbed by a hollow part of the table 11 or a storage part on a bottom face.
