PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a compact shape/structure in a blower with ion wind used. SOLUTION: The blower is provided with a flat main electrode plate 1 provided with a plurality of projections (main electrode projection 1a) having a sharp tip end and a flat sub-electrode plate 2 provided with a plurality of projections (sub-electrode projection 2a) similarly having a sharp tip end, each arranged in parallel. The main electrode projection 1a and the sub-electrode projection 2a are directed in the same direction and, further, the sub-electrode plate 2 is provided with an electrode plate part further to a front side than the tip end of the main electrode projection 1a, and similarly, the main electrode plate 1 is provided with an electrode plate part further to a front side than the tip end of the sub-electrode projection 2a, and a high voltage is applied between the main electrode plate and the sub-electrode plate so as to generate ion wind in a direction in which the tip ends of the main electrode projection 1a and the sub-electrode projection 2a are directed, thereby effects of a small air-blowing resistance and of a compact size and a large air treatment volume can be achieved.
