<p>Disclosed is an organic electroluminescent element, which comprises: a positive electrode and a negative electrode that are arranged at a distance from each other; a light-emitting layer that is arranged between the positive electrode and the negative electrode and contains three kinds of material, namely a host material, a light-emitting dopant and an electron injection/transport material; a hole injection/transport layer that is arranged between the positive electrode and the light-emitting layer and contains a hole injection/transport material; and a buffer layer that is arranged between the light-emitting layer and the hole injection/transport layer in such a manner that the light-emitting dopant and the hole injection/transport material are not in contact with each other, and contains a material that is the same as the host material.</p>
