THE MANUFACTURING METHOD OF BIO DIESEL USING SALICORNIA HERBACEA OIL

PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing bio-diesel using salicornia herbacea oil is provided to reduce cost required for manufacturing processes and overcome a shortage of food. CONSTITUTION: Salicornia herbacea is pulverized into 0.5 to 5mm. The pulverized salicornia herbacea is thermally treated at temperature between 80 and 100 degrees Celsius for 20 to 40 minutes. Salicornia herbacea oil is extracted from the thermally treated salicornia herbacea. The salicornia herbacea oil is refined. Alcohol is mixed with the extracted salicornia herbacea oil. The salicornia herbacea oil mixed with the alcohol is esterified. Glycerol and the alcohol are separated from the esterified material. The esterified material is washed.
