<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a write error of an HDD by detecting data corrupt caused by abnormal power-supply interruption to recover and protect the HDD. <P>SOLUTION: When detecting an HDD error by an HDD error detection circuit 203, a SMART information acquisition circuit 201, and an abnormal power-supply interruption counter circuit 202, a counter value of abnormal power-supply interruption is confirmed to determine whether the HDD error is caused by abnormal power-supply interruption or an HDD failure. When caused by the HDD failure, the HDD failure is notified by a remote notification circuit 207. When caused by the abnormal power-supply interruption, a circuit 204 for specifying an HDD error part and a circuit 205 for identifying an HDD error file determine the propriety of the HDD recovery, and further, determine whether the recovery is executed by fsck or by HDD initialization. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
