PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outdoor unit of an air conditioner, surely fixing a defrost heater laid on an outdoor unit base to a prescribed position with constant force by absorbing dimensional tolerance and achieving a desired antifreezing function. SOLUTION: In this outdoor unit of the air conditioner in which the defrost heater 15 for preventing freezing of drainage is laid on the outdoor unit base 2, and the defrost heater 15 is fixed to a bottom surface of the outdoor unit base 2 through a bracket 25, the bracket 25 has an arm-shaped pressing part having a free end at its one end side to press the defrost heater 15, and the pressing part is bendably constituted so that it absorbs dimensional tolerance of the outdoor unit base 2 and the defrost heater 15, and presses the defrost heater 15.
