PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stitch knitting method stably rotating a rotor and independently controlling the rotation of the rotor and employable as practical knitting machine. SOLUTION: The method for stitch knitting by a stitch knitting device 1 uses a rotary motion of a rotor 2, wherein the rotor 2 includes a rotor body with a first concave part and a second concave part 6 for engaging, on which knitting yarn can be engaged, formed on the peripheral surface, a rotary shaft 3 installed on the axis of the rotor body protruding outward, and the rotary motion of the rotor 2 makes the second concave part 6 for engaging pass through the old loop while engaging a second knitting yarn and forming a new loop where a first knitting yarn is engaged by the first concave part 6 and an old loop is formed, and then each of the first knitting yarn and the second knitting yarn passes the outside of both ends of the rotary shaft 3 to make the old loop escape from the first concave part to knit a stitch.
