PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a general-purpose thin carton with a hanging hook to be used also as a stable standing carton with its enlarged advertising area. SOLUTION: The standing carton consists of the thin carton with the hanging hook and an auxiliary piece which can be attached to the bottom part thereof. A cut groove is formed at least in the front folding end out of the front and rear side folding ends on the bottom surface of the carton. The auxiliary piece includes: a base which is provided in its central part and has a width of almost the same size as the thickness of the carton; leg parts which are provided in both the ends of the base and each have a width of the size larger than the thickness of the carton; and tongue pieces which are continuously provided foldably along both the sides of the base on its width side, and can be inserted into the cut groove in the folding end on the bottom surface of the carton or bonded to the rear surface of the carton. The surface of the auxiliary piece attached below as well as the front surface of the carton and the hanging hook part is printable. The standing carton can stand with the leg parts on both the sides of the base of the auxiliary piece grounded on the location which easily attracts consumer's attention. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
