PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide chuter which is capable of boxing without generating breakage or the like of a bag and can easily be handled, and a method for packing a silicon material using this. SOLUTION: The guide chuter 21 for guiding a silicon material under a bagged condition when the silicon material under the bagged condition is stored from a rectangular opening part in a storing space of a box body whose upper part is opened condition includes: an inserting frame part 22 which is inserted in the inside of the side wall constituting the storing space and connecting a plurality of plate-like parts 24 and 25 along the inner periphery of the side wall; and a plurality of guide pieces 23 connected with the upper ends of respective plate-like parts 24 and 25 of the inserting frame part 22 so as to respectively extend upward, and inclined in the gradually spreading direction more than the inserting frame part 22 as it goes upward, and the inserting frame part 22 is provided with a stretching and contracting part 26 capable of widening outward at least the upper part of the plate-like parts 24 and 25.
