METHOD FOR USER PLANE DATA TRANSMISSION BASED ON AN IUR-G INTERFACE AND EQUIPMENT THEREOF

The present invention provides a method for user plane data transmission based on an Iur-g interface and an equipment thereof. In the above method, the user plane data is transmitted between a radio network controller (RNC) and a base station controller (BSC) through the Iur-g interface, and the transmitted user plane data is adapted for the voice algorithm conversion between 2G (2nd Generation) and 3G(3rd Generation) by the RNC or the BSC without using a transcoder (TC). The technical scheme provided by the present invention solves the problems that the 2G system becomes more complicated and the data quality is degraded, which are resulted from converting the user plane data between 2G and 3G systems by interpolating a TC in the 2G system in the related technologies, and then the system is simplified, and the voice transmission quality and the system performance are improved.
