POWER STORAGE DEVICE IN WHICH AC OUTPUT IS POSSIBLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power storage device outputting AC with low loss and low noise without using a DC-DC converter and an inverter.

SOLUTION: The power storage device is provided with a power storage module group constituted by connecting two or more power storage modules including one or more power storage elements in series, a balancing circuit which is electrically connected to the power storage module group and is configured to adjust voltages applied to the power storage modules, a first switch group including two or more switches arranged in a route connecting a terminal of one of the power storage modules connected in series and a first terminal, and a second switch group including two or more switches disposed in a route connecting a terminal of one of the power storage modules connected in series and a second terminal. A magnitude and polarity of an output voltage are selected in accordance with a power storage element structure existing in the route connecting the first terminal and the second terminal by changing over the switch in the first switch group and the second switch group in the power storage device.
