摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability of a network by achieving abnormal light emission detecting and light emission stopping functions of a subscriber-side communication apparatus in expensive circuit configuration. <P>SOLUTION: An ONU 2 is a communication apparatus including: a PON control circuit 22 for outputting a transmission permission signal shifted to a significant side while adjusted to a transmission permission term of an optical signal; an optical transmitting/receiving circuit 21 for converting a data signal into an optical signal and outputting the optical signal while the transmission permission signal is shifted to the significant side; a pulse generating circuit 23 for outputting a pulse signal of a predetermined pulsewidth with shifting of the transmission permission signal to the significant side as a trigger; and a latch circuit 24 which uses the pulse signal and the transmission permission signal for input to continue canceling a transmission stop signal by determining a normal light emitting operation in the case that the transmission permission signal is completely shifted to the significant side is completed before reception end of the pulse signal, and to latch out the transmission stop signal by determining an abnormal light emitting state, on the other hand, in the case that the transmission permission signal is not completely shifted to the significant side even after reception end of the pulse signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
