<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming system that reduces user's waiting time even if a system configuration change is executed during the system operation. <P>SOLUTION: When each accessory device receives a configuration ID and the number of communication times from an engine 1, each accessory device notifies another accessory device of its own configuration information according to its own configuration ID. About the another accessory device notified of the configuration information, a new ID is formed by dividing its own configuration ID by two and the number of communication times is subtracted so as to further notify another accessory device of the notified configuration information and its own configuration. When the number of communication times is zero, configuration information, formed by collecting the notified configuration information and one's own configuration information, is notified from each accessory device to an image forming device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
