<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-line diagnostic method by tracking sensors on a hot rolling line, the diagnosis of abnormality with the tracking sensors which are installed on two places is performable. <P>SOLUTION: When the nose of a material 2 to be rolled passes through the installed position (point A) of a upstream-side tracking sensor 4 (sensor A), the continuous tracking of the nose of the material 2 to be rolled is started by taking the point A as a starting point and a time (the generating time of continuous tracking B-ON) when the nose of the material 2 to be rolled passes through the installed position (point B) of a downstream-side tracking sensor 5 (sensor B) is calculated. By comparing this calculated generating time of the continuous tracking B-ON with the time (the generation time of sensor B-ON) when the ON-action of the downstream-side tracking sensor 5 (sensor B) is started actually, when its time difference exceeds the allowable range, it is determined that the abnormal operation is present in the downstream-side tracking sensor 5 (sensor B). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
