DRIVING DEVICE FOR OPENING/CLOSING BODY FOR VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving device for an opening/closing body for a vehicle, which prevents foreign matters (rain, snow, dust or the like) from intruding into the trunk opening even if an object is caught in a trunk lid.

SOLUTION: The drive-controlling device for the opening/closing body for a vehicle includes: the opening/closing body for opening/closing the opening of a vehicle body; a closer mechanism for holding the opening/closing body at a half-latch position and a full-closed position; a driving means for driving the opening/closing body at between the half-latch position and the full-closed position through the closer mechanism; a catch detecting means for detecting the occurrence of catch between the opening/closing body and vehicle body when the driving means closes the opening/closing body from the half-latched position to the full closed position; and a drive-controlling means for stop-driving the driving means while the driving means is driven reversely to open the opening/closing body to the half-latch position and the closer mechanism is allowed to hold the opening/closing body at the half-latch position when the catch detecting means detects a catch.
