SUBSTRATE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate having a touch panel sensor layer which is high in durability and hardly damaged.

SOLUTION: The substrate 40 includes a base material 45 and a touch panel sensor layer 60 formed on the base material. The touch panel sensor layer includes a first unit sensor 61 and a second unit sensor 66 crossing the first unit sensor 61 without contact. A dielectric layer 70 is formed on the first unit sensor 61. The second unit sensor includes a main part 67 provided on the same plane as the first unit sensor, and a bridge part 68 connected to the main part 67 across the first unit sensor through the dielectric layer 70. The thickness of the area facing the bridge part of the dielectric layer is smaller than the thickness of the other area.
