<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve excellent exposure while making exposure unevenness imperceptible. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a lens array centering around a virtual straight line; and a light-emitting element array. The light-emitting array is configured by arranging each light-emitting element pair in a first direction. The light-emitting element pair is configured such that a one-side light-emitting element, facing the lens array on one side of the virtual straight line, and the other-side light-emitting element, facing the lens array on the other side of the virtual straight line, are arranged at the positions in the same first direction. Each light-emitting element pair is subjected to operation for allowing either one of the one-side light-emitting element and the other-side light-emitting element to emit light at light-emission timing in accordance with the movement of a latent image carrier. Each line latent image for one line is formed side by side. Each light-emitting element pair is subjected to operation for switching the light-emitting element, emitting light in order to be used for formation of line latent images for each line latent image for L lines (L is an integer of≥1), between the one-side light-emitting element and the other-side light-emitting element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
