PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multifunction machine 100 repeating an image with suitable ground color density when implementing an image repeating function. SOLUTION: The multifunction machine 100 includes an inhibiting means 504 inhibiting an automatic density adjusting means 505 from performing ground color density acquisition processing when an image repeating means 502 causes an image reading means 503 to read an image of a document, and a control means 507 canceling the inhibition by the inhibiting means 504, and causing the automatic density adjusting means 505 to acquire ground color density from nearby an end of a hollowed-out image when the image repeating means 502 repeats the hollowed-out image a plurality of times to form an image.
