PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a humidifier capable of preventing occurrence of inhibition or impossibility of transmission in advance by preventing deposition and accumulation of water stain on a rotational contact section of a transmission roller and a driving roller constituting a transmission mechanism to a holding frame receiving and holding a humidification filter. SOLUTION: A transmission gear 51 of a transmitting mechanism 5 for rotating and driving a holding frame 30 receiving and holding a humidification filter is configured by coaxially arranging a first gear section 51a engaged with a ring gear section 32 of an outer periphery of the holding frame 30 and a second gear section 51b engaged with a driving gear in parallel with each other, a flanged dewatering section 58 projecting outward in a radial direction, is disposed between both gear sections 51a, 51b, and movement of attached water from the first gear section 51a to the second gear section 51b is blocked by the dewatering section 58.
