Incoming splitting junctors IJ1 and outgoing junctors are connected over switching network SS 1 -SS 6 under the control of programme-controlled unit CU. Main receiver registers MRD 1 -56 are connectable over a main signalling switching network MSNW to the receive channel irc 1 of the incoming junctor and additional receive registers ARD1-32 are connected to the receive channel irc 2 of the outgoing junctor over MSNW and the additional signalling switching network RSNW. Both main and additional registers are separately disconnectable by relay contacts b and c in control circuits CC 1 individual to each main register. The forward and backward sounder registers SD1-20 are connected to the send channels isc 1 or isc 2 via switching networks MSNW and SSNW.
