PURPOSE: A diffusion type shock absorbing apparatus is provided to protect passengers by the safe stop of vehicles, since collision energy is absorbed by frictional force corresponding to the collision energy. CONSTITUTION: A diffusion type shock absorbing apparatus comprises a front shock absorbing portion(50), a guardrail connecting device(100), a brake device(200), a backside support(250), and a wire rope. The guardrail connecting device comprises a support frame, a guardrail(140), and a connection plate. The guardrail is installed on both sides of the support frame and is formed to be movable. The connection plate connects the support frame and the guardrail. The brake device is comprised of multiple hollow pipes and a brake. The backside support is fixed to the surface and includes a wire fixing plate.
