DESIGN FOR FAST STREAM CIPHER ASC16

PURPOSE: A design for fast stream cipher of ASC 16 is provided to improve the software and hardware performance, and speed. CONSTITUTION: A stream cipher ASC16 comprises an arithmetic shift register, a non-linear block, and a non-linear block generating filter. The arithmetic shift register is composed of 151 bits, and 5 words. The last word uses only 23 bits. The non-linear block generator is composed of 16 words, and generates non-linear block using two pointer parameters which is generated by a PG(Point Generator). The non-linear block generator generates 32 bit output using two words among 3 words from the arithmetic shift register and 16 words from the non-linear block generator.
