PURPOSE: An apparatus for manufacturing half-finished ring products for large flanges is provided to extend the life span of the main cutter by reducing frictional resistances acting on the main cutter. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for manufacturing half-finished ring products for large flanges comprises a bed(100), a fixing chuck(200), a mobile unit(300), and a cutting unit(400). A large pipe material(10) is rotated with one end fixed by the fixing chuck. The mobile unit comprises a lower moving body(310) which moves in an X-axis direction and an upper moving body(320) which moves in a Y-axis direction on the lower moving body. The cutting unit comprises a motor(410), a bracket(420) which is installed adjacent to the motor on the top of the mobile unit, a rotary shaft whose both ends are supported on the bracket, a main cutter(440) which is rotated in the opposite direction to the fixing chuck so as to cut the large pipe material into a half-finished ring product, and a power transmission unit which connects the motor to the rotary shaft.
