THE METHOD FOR SYNCHRONIZING HAPTIC DATA AND THE HAPTIC SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for synchronizing haptic data and a haptic system are provided to improve the transparency of the haptic system by compensating delayed data. CONSTITUTION: A sample and hold unit(220) changes HIP(Haptic Interaction Pointer) location information of a haptic device into a digital signal. The digital signal is applied to a communication unit(240) and a synchronization unit(260). The communication unit transmits a HIP location applied from the sample and hold unit to a slave. The synchronization unit synchronizes the reaction force corresponding to the HIP location applied from the sample and hold unit and the HIP location applied from the communication unit. An EBA(Energy Bounding Algorithm) unit(280) produces a reaction force by using the HIP location applied from the synchronization unit and the reaction force corresponding to the HIP location.
