PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a possible deviation of the control timing by a control means in each of control boards at the resuming of the game while enabling the resuming of the game back from the position at which the power shutdown occurs at the return of the power source by preserving necessary data in case of the outbreak of the unexpected power shut down such as a power failure. SOLUTION: Signals from a power source monitoring IC are input into a game control board and a display control board and a power shutdown handling processing containing the processing for preserving data in a backup RAM area is executed according to the signals from the power source monitoring IC. The power shutdown handling processing also contains the processing for generating check data. When the power supply to a game machine is resumed, a CPU checks the data in the backup RAM area and when the result of the checking is normal, it carries out a processing for restoring the game state while controlling to transmit an error command to the display control board. A CPU 101 for display control makes an error display by responding to the reception of the error command and deletes the error display at the end of the variation of figures.
